Hey everyone!
I put this simple card together in less than 20 minutes. Here's what you'll need...
First, you will need to take your piece of chipboard and spritz it with a mist (or you could paint it). I used Mr. Huey Plum Thumb and it covered the chipboard very nicely!
I then sprinkled on a single layer of bees-wax chips on top of the chipboard. I used my heat gun to melt the wax down.
Once it was mostly melted (it was clear), I placed my wood veneer butterflies by Studio Calico on top of the wax and firmly pressed them down.
The wax will start to harden and start turning white again and it will adhere the butterflies to the piece of chipboard. I let this sit for about 10 minutes to cool and completely dry. While it was drying, I cut a block of white card stock and folded it in half for the base of my card. Then, I cut a block of Studio Calico pattern paper and sprinkled some droplets of the Mr. Huey mist and then stitched it to the front of the white card stock. I roughed up the edges of the pattern paper for a slightly distressed look. By this time, the wax was dry on my chipboard. I adhered it down to the front of the card and placed a piece of bling in the middle of each butterfly. A simple, but cute card!
